The Second Book of the Kings 列王紀

Chapter 1

Ahaziah, king of Israel, was seriously ill after a fall.
He tried to send messengers to the temple of a false god
to ask about his future.

But the Lord sent Elijah the prophet to intercept the messengers
and tell them that the king would die.

The king sent 50 soldiers to arrest Elijah
but as they approached Elijah, fire from heaven destroyed them.

The king sent another 50 soldiers.
They too were destroyed by fire from heaven.

A third group of 50 was sent. They begged Elijah to spare them.
The Lord told Elijah to go with them to the king.

Elijah then told the king to his face that he would soon die
because he had tried to ask a false god about his future.
Not long after this, Ahaziah died.

以色列王阿哈齐雅,跌倒后病重。
他试图差遣使者往假神的庙宇,

询问他的未来。

但是派遣先知里亚拦截使者
并告诉他们君王将会死。

君王派五十名士兵逮捕厄里亚
但是当他们走近厄里亚时,从天而降的火杀死他们。

君王又增派五十名士兵。
他们也被从天而降的火杀死。

第三批五十人被派遣。 他们恳求厄里亚饶恕他们。
告诉厄里亚与他们一起去见君王。

厄里亚然后当面告诉君王,他会很快死,
因为他试图向假神,询问他的未来。

这之后不久,阿哈齐雅死了。

Dear Lord, please don't let us ever get involved
with false religion

亲爱的,请不要让我们参与
虚假的信仰

Chapters  2, 3

The Lord revealed to Elisha and other prophets
that Elijah would be taken up to heaven in a whirlwind.

Elisha said to Elijah
"Let me inherit a double share of your spirit."

Then a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire,
and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

The spirit of Elijah then came to rest on Elisha
and he began to do miracles by the power of the Lord.

厄里叟和其他先知透露,
厄里亚
会被旋风接到天上。

厄里叟厄里亚说:

让我继承你两倍的灵

然后一辆火战车跟火马一起出现,
厄里亚
就乘着旋风升天去。

厄里亚的灵那时依托于厄里叟
而他开始依靠的力量行奇迹。

Holy Spirit of God, please increase your influence in my life

圣灵,请在我的生命里増加的影响

Chapter 4

A poor widow whose husband had been a prophet asked Elisha for help when a creditor demanded her two sons as slaves.

All she had was a small pot of oil, not enough to pay her debts.

Elisha told her to get many jars,
and start pouring oil from the pot into the jars.

As she and her sons did this, the oil did not run out.
Elisha told her to sell the oil to pay off her debts.

At another time Elisha  brought back to life a dead child.

He also once brought about a miraculous multiplication of bread.

一个贫困的寡妇,她丈夫曾是先知,当债主要求把她的二个儿子作奴隶,她请求厄里叟的帮助。

她所有的是一小壶油,不足够支付她的债务。

厄里叟告诉她取多些瓶,
然后开始将油从壶倒入瓶内。

当她和她的儿子这样做,油倒之不尽。
厄里叟
告诉她卖油支付她的债务。

另一次厄里叟使一个死了的孩子复活。

他亦曾经造成饼奇迹的倍增。

Dear God,  you once worked miracles by the prayers of Elisha.
Please let  miracles be done in our day.

亲爱的,你曾经以厄里叟的祈祷创造奇迹。
请让奇迹在我们这个时代发生。

Chapter 5

Naaman was an army commander for the king of Aram.
Naaman enjoyed success and favor, but he was a leper.

He heard about Elisha and the king sent him to Elisha
with  gifts of gold, silver and garments to request healing.

When Naaman reached Elisha's house,
Elisha sent him a message: "Bathe 7 times in the Jordan River."

At first Naaman was angry at this message,
having expected Elisha to see and heal him personally.

But then he humbly bathed 7 times in the Jordan
and his flesh became clean once more.

Elisha declined Naaman's gifts.
But after Naaman left Elisha, Elisha's servant Gehazi
caught up with Naaman and deceitfully obtained some silver.

Elisha confronted Gehazi about this
and Gehazi became a leper.

纳阿曼阿兰王的军长。
纳阿曼享有成就和爱戴,但他是一个麻疯病人。

他听说厄里叟,君王
送他往厄里叟
带备金子、银子和礼服去求治疗。


纳阿曼到达厄里叟的家,

厄里叟给他一则信息:约旦河里洗七次

最初纳阿曼对这则信息生气,
期望厄里叟亲自见他和治愈他。

不过他谦恭地在约旦河里洗七次,
然后他的肌肉再次变得洁净。

厄里叟拒绝纳阿曼的礼物。
但在纳阿曼离开厄里叟后,厄里叟的仆人革哈齐赶上纳阿曼,并欺诈地获得一些银。

厄里叟质问革哈齐这件事,
结果革哈齐成为麻疯病人。

Dear God, please heal everyone who has leprosy

亲爱的,请治愈麻疯病人

Chapter 6

The king of Aram was at war with Israel.
But each time he planned an attack,
Elisha warned the king of Israel
and the attack was foiled.

The king of Aram therefore sent soldiers to capture Elisha.
Elisha prayed to God for help and the soldiers were temporarily
blinded.

While they were blinded, Elisha led them to the king of Israel.
The king of Israel asked Elisha "Shall I kill them?"

Elisha told him not to kill them but to feed them and let them go.

After this there was peace for a time between Aram and Israel.

阿兰王以色列交战。
但每次他计划攻击,
厄里叟预先通知以色列王
于是攻击受挫败。

阿兰王因此派士兵捉拿厄里叟
厄里叟
祈求帮助,结果士兵暂时失明。

当他们失明时,厄里叟领他们到以色列王
以色列王
厄里叟我将杀死他们吗?

厄里叟告诉他,不要杀死他们,但是给他们食物,和让他们走。

在此之后,阿兰以色列之间暂时和平。

Dear God, please bless our enemies, and help us be kind to them

亲爱的,请祝福我们的敌人,并帮助我们善待他们

Chapters 7 - 13

During Elisha's life time, there were many kings in Israel and Judah.

A number of these kings were assassinated.

Elisha also died and was buried in a tomb.

Once when a dead man was put in Elisha's tomb,
the man came back to life.

7-13

厄里叟在生时,在以色列犹大有许多君王。

一些君王被行刺。

厄里叟也死了,被埋葬在坟墓。

有一次,当一个死人被抛在厄里叟的坟墓里,
这人复活了。

Dear God, please help us love you the way Elisha loved you

亲爱的,请帮助我们以厄里叟爱你的方式爱你

Chapters 14 - 18

After the death of Elisha, kings continued to come to power
and be assassinated in Judah and Israel.

It was then that the king of Assyria invaded Israel and Judah.

Hezekiah, king of Judah, a good man, prayed to God for help.

14-18

厄里叟死后,君王们继续上台执政,
并且继续在犹大以色列被行刺。

于是亚述王入侵以色列犹大

犹大王希则克雅,是个好人,向祈求帮助。

Dear God, please save us in time of trial

亲爱的,请在审判时拯救我们

Chapter 19

King Hezekiah asked the prophet Isaiah for advice.
Isaiah said to the king:

"The Lord says 'Do not be afraid of the King of Assyria.
He shall not enter Jerusalem.
I will protect this city and save it.'"

That same night the angel of the Lord struck the Assyrian camp
with a type of plague which killed thousands of men.

The Assyrians then went back to their own land
and did not attack Jerusalem.

希则克雅王问先知依撒意亚意见。
依撒意亚
对君王说:

说:不要害怕亚述王
他不会进入耶路撒冷
我将保护这城和拯救它


当天晚上,的天使以一种瘟疫侵袭亚述营,
杀死数以万计的人。


亚述人
于是回国,
并没有攻击耶路撒冷

Dear God, please protect ....... (the city where I am living now)

亲爱的,请保护 ..... ..(我现在居住的城市)

Chapter 20

King Hezekiah became ill and was dying.
Hezekiah begged the Lord to cure him.

The Lord told Isaiah the prophet to tell Hezekiah:
"I will add 15 years to your life."

The king recovered and lived for another 15 years.

希则克雅王病危。
希则克雅
恳求治好他。

告诉先知依撒意亚告诉希则克雅
我将将你的生命添加十五年

君王康复和另外再活十五年。

Dear God, please cure (..a sick person..)
the way you cured Hezekiah

亲爱的,请用治好希则克雅的方法治好(..一个病人 ..

Chapters 21 - 25

Josiah king of Judah was a good leader who loved the Lord
and promoted religious reform.

But most other kings of Judah and Israel at this time were not good.

The country was invaded by the king of Babylon
who deported most of the population to Babylon.
Only the poorest people in the countryside were left behind.


21-25

犹大王约史雅是一位好领袖,他爱推行宗教改革。

但此时大多数的犹大王以色列王都是差劲的。

国家被巴比伦王入侵,
他驱逐大部分人到巴比伦
只留下地方上最穷苦的平民。

Dear God,  please give the world good leaders

亲爱的,请给世界优秀的领袖
